How is my Listing Strength Check calculated?

The Listing Strength Score is calculated based on the presence or absence of the factors listed on your listing strength check experience in Ignite. We determine the relative importance of each factor based on consumer research and by calibrating the strength score to mean listing engagement scores for your category of listing.

Can I opt-out of Listing Optimisation's photo re-ordering feature?

Although Listing Optimisation’s photo re-ordering is designed to get you a better result, you have the choice to opt-out at a listing or agency level.

If you do not agree with the re-ordering of photos, you can opt-out of the optimisation for individual listings via the email notification or in Ignite's "Manage" tab at any time before the optimisation occurs. You can also revert the image order back to the original listing order after the optimisation occurs via the "Manage" tab in Ignite.

Alternatively, if it is not right for your agency you can tailor your team's use by opting-out of the feature for either your buy listings, rent listings or all listings. Please contact your sales representative to arrange this for your business.

Please note, agent-level opt-out is not available at this stage.

When will my listing’s photo order be automatically optimised?

Listings will be optimised on day 10 for rent listings and day 14 for buy listings. Once your listing has been optimised your listing will rotate to the top of the search results on day 15, capturing the attention of more potential buyers and tenants.

Why isn’t my second image optimisation available?

The additional photo reorder option will be available on day 15 for buy listings, and day 11 for rent. (After the first one is complete). Or the current photo order is what we already recommend.

What insights are included in the Listing Insights feature?

Listing Insights compares your property against other properties uploaded to realestate.com.au in the past 12 months with similar listing criteria. There are four data points that are surfaced in Ignite, 3 days after your listing is uploaded.

  • Potential buyers or renters: The number of people who are seriously interested in a particular property type in the searched suburb, within the same price range.
  • Similar properties: Listings with the same number of bedrooms, property type, suburb, and price range on realestate.com.au. This number includes your listing. Please note, properties that do not have a valid address or are part of a project development will not be included.
  • Unique attributes: If any attributes are displayed, this may be a unique feature of your property that makes it stand out against the competition as few similar properties have the same feature listed.
  • Price comparison: Your property is compared against the median price of the similar properties and a comparison of the land size is provided, where possible.

Postcode reporting will also be available in July 2024.

Why can't I see my Listing Insights?

You will not be able to see your Listing Insights before day 3 of your on-market campaign.

Alternatively, your Listing Insights may not be available if your listing does not have a valid address. Properties may not have a valid address due to one of the following reasons:

  • The address is incomplete.
  • There is a typo in the address.
  • The address does not yet exist. For example, a new development.
  • realestate.com.au do not have information on the address provided as the address is yet to be registered.
